Two stages matter most. “Applicant has enrolled” means your biometrics are captured and the file waits. “Application Vetting — Completed” means checks passed and the booklet is cleared to print. How long after payment before the status updates

“Is my passport ready for collection?”

In short: your passport is ready once the tracker passes Application Vetting — Completed into a release stage. Diaspora booklets are posted back. Read the collection notification by where you enrolled. If you renewed by contactless from the diaspora, there is nothing to collect. The booklet is posted to you — UK renewers get it back by Royal Mail. So wait on the vetting-completed stage and the courier, not a “come and collect” message. One applicant was emailed that his application was “successful,” with a note to book an appointment. He had already paid for contactless, so he ignored it: “you just have to keep waiting and track your application” (sea_lurker). When status is stuck: what to do if the embassy won’t answer
